“Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. The beast of the field will honor Me, the jackals and the ostriches, because I give waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, to give drink to My people, My chosen. This people I have formed for Myself; they shall declare My praise.” Isaiah 43:18-21 NKJ
When you come to the place where you are releasing your old thought patterns, memories, and actions, you will begin to wake up in the morning with new vision. Where once you saw only obstacles and blockades ahead of you; you now see the possibility for God to make a way where there once was no way. You are filled with hope and expectation, watching for God to work in ways you never before imagined! The voice of doubt is no longer allowed to reside in your mind because you have cast it down by choosing to elevate the voice of faith.
You begin to embrace the truth that you are God’s chosen people and you begin to praise Him each day for everything He is doing in your life. When the temptation to fear comes you stand strong in the power of the Lord’s might until the temptation passes and when it does; you give glory to God for being faithful to His promise of giving you strength in your time of weakness. You are filled with an inner peace because you know it is just a matter of time before you see springs break forth from the dry places in your life!
Whether it is relational, financial, mental, emotional, spiritual, or physical, you just know that your living Savior is at work in you perfecting His plan for your life. And you know that as you yield your will to His, you will see that work as it begins to manifest daily. Where once you felt alone and unsure of your future; you now feel the presence of God surrounding you and you take on the mindset of a conqueror, knowing you are surrounded by the angels of God. You know they are protecting you and keeping you safe.
You begin to feel empowered to walk upright in the authority that you have been given IN Christ Jesus and you appropriate your spiritual armor so you are ready to stand against the devil’s attacks on your mind. You hold the shield of faith tightly in your grip knowing your faith deflects the fiery darts of the evil one. When the accusations fly you no longer run for cover fearing that you will be overcome, but instead you stand strong in the Lord and the power of His might and tell the devil he is a liar and he has to flee immediately.
You tell yourself that you are the righteousness of God IN Christ Jesus and that you stand approved IN Him because of the blood He shed for you on the Cross! You no longer give the devil a foothold because you have your feet shod in the Gospel of peace and when he tries to gain a foothold; you remind him that your Good Shepherd has you securely grounded on the path of righteousness for His name’s sake!
You no longer fear when you see a dry patch of ground in a certain area of your life because you have an assurance that the living water of your Savior is flowing and moving IN you and in time, His spring of living water will break through the dry ground and turn it into a flowing river of His goodness! You have an assurance that everything you have ever done and everything you have ever been through will be turned into something good by the One who gives beauty for ashes.
When you face trials of any kind you will feel the power of the Holy Spirit rise up on the inside of you, directing you in the path that leads to joy, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience and when patience has it’s perfect work, your faith will be complete and lacking nothing! When you believe by faith that you are complete and lacking nothing, there is no battle that is too hard to handle because you walk in the assurance that the battle belongs to the Lord and He reigns victorious every time!
This is when the Word of God comes alive on the inside of you and you are confident in wielding the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, in the midst of the battle! You are no longer deceived into believing you can be defeated so you stand against the devil when he attacks your mind with lies and accusation. You are filled with the love of Christ for yourself and others and you walk in love, knowing that the perfect love of Christ casts out all fear! This enables you to be a witness of God’s faithfulness because you are confident that the One who has saved you from death is the One true God of our Lord Jesus Christ and the power that raised Christ from the dead is the same power that lives and moves and has its being in you!
Prayer: I choose by faith to forget the former things that have caused dry places in my soul. I believe by faith that You are at work doing a new thing in me. I believe by faith that Your living water is moving through me and as I release the former things to You; You will spring forth a river of living water that will quench the dry and weary places of my soul. I believe by faith that I am Your people and I will praise You before men and my life will be a living proof that You are the one true living God and the only God who is worthy to be praised! Amen
